The quality learning experience awaiting four-year-olds at Kendall Whittier Elementary is second to none. Kendall Whittier is one of many schools in the district that offers this free program children who turn four years old on or before September 1st of the current year.
“Tulsa Public Schools offers exceptional early learning experiences that can change the trajectory of a child’s life,” said Superintendent Deborah A. Gist. “This is an opportunity for children to develop a strong foundation for life-long learning – the advantages you receive as a child in pre-K continue to have a positive impact through high school and beyond.”
Both short and long-term benefits of starting school in pre-kindergarten are well documented and include significant academic gains in math, literacy, and applied problem-solving, as well as an increased likelihood of earning a high school diploma.
