Thanks to a generous donation, Kendall-Whittier students now have access to more Spanish textbooks.
Kendall-Whittier Elementary Schools serves a diverse community of learners that includes nearly 600 Hispanic/Latinx students and 483 English language learners.
During a special ceremony on Friday, October 26, 2019, the Mexican Consulate of Little Rock, Arkansas donated Spanish textbooks to the Kendall-Whittier student community, providing high-quality instructional resources that will help meet the needs of these scholars.
The donation includes about 40 textbooks from first to sixth grade for math, Spanish, sciences, civics, and literature.
Mexican Consul Rodolfo Quilantan-Arenas presented the textbooks as part of the Mexican Government's Textbook Donation Program, which was established by the Mexican Government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Public Education.
